The broad purpose of Word in Action is to bring the message of the Bible to Christians in the Bath area, in a manner relevant for today.
Evangelical Christians from churches in the Bath area have come together every year since 1905, for a week's Bible teaching from a nationally known speaker, and to enjoy fellowship together. Known in the past as the Bath Convention, but continued as Word in Action, other events are now included in the programme.

2008 Bible Teaching Week

www.st-helens.org.uk
Studies will be from Matthew chapters 9 & 10
William Taylor is the Rector of St Helen's Bishopgate in the City of London, a busy church which serves both workers and residents, as their website shows
His first book called Partnership (publ by Christian Focus) examines the church at Philippi, and has had very positive reviews from Evangelicals Now, David Cook, and Rev Dr Mark Stibbe. No doubt his forthcoming book on Matthew's gospel will be equally valuable.
The venue is Widcombe Baptist Church, Pulteney Road Bath BA2 4JR
